Sharon (Ouziely) Mersky
A two-year fellow (2005-2007), Sharon interned with Knesset members Yael (Yuli) Tamir and Avishai Braverman. Her research focused on mechanisms to leverage food surpluses to deal with food insecurity. Her second-year research focused on employment for Ultra Orthodox (Haredim) in Israel and is widely cited as one of the few written materials on the topic to date.
Mersky holds a B.A. and an M.A. in agricultural economics and management, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Currenlty, Sharon is a PhD candidate in economic history at the Hebrew University and a lecturer at the Ashkelon Academic College.
