Maya Shaton
A 2020 Israeli Senior Fellow, conducting financial research with the cooperation of the Israeli Tax Authority – studying the effect of Israel’s high tech sector as a macroeconomic accelerator.
She earned her Ph.D in Finance from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business where she also completed her MBA. Previously, she completed her M.A. in Financial Economics, and a joint Bachelor degrees in Law and Economics at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She recently earned an LL.M from the University of Columbia Law School and is working towards her JSD in law from Columbia Law School. She is currently serving as a visiting professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After graduating from the University of Chicago, Dr. Shaton served as an Economist and Researcher at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Her research interests include Financial Innovation, Household Finance, Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, Law and Finance.
