
Kisanet Abrha

Kisanet holds an MA in International Development from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a BSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. With a strong educational background, She is committed to leveraging engineering expertise to address global challenges in water and agriculture.
During her study at the Technion, Kisanet volunteered with Engineers Without Borders, contributing to projects for a rural community in Ethiopia. And participated in the Engineering for Development Communities program, gaining interdisciplinary fieldwork experience using engineering tools to create a positive impact on communities.
Kisanet has gained practical experience as a Global Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) intern at IsraAID as part of her master’s degree. She also participated in the prestigious venture building program, Pears Challenge, focused on sustainable agriculture and food systems in Ghana, where she worked on a business venture idea that aimed to optimize market access and service delivery to small-scale farmers.
Kisanet is originally from Ethiopia and came to Israel in pursuit of her educational and career goals. She currently lives in Haifa.
