New Sources of Funding Israeli Cinema

The film industry in Israel is often unable to attract sufficient funding to enable sustainable profits. To address this situation, this research puts forward a number of recommendations, including:

  1. Attracting funding from international sources, such as the Diaspora Jewish community
  2. Unifying the various public film funds, and analyzing the amount of funding they receive
  3. Creating tax incentives to draw foreign productions to Israel
  4. Producing films in groups, in order to lessen expenses and to expand accessibility to funding
