Professor Weiner was research advisor to fellows Ravit Nuriel and Daniel Melzer.
Wiener is the head of the Finance Department and an associate professor in the School of Business Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His areas of expertise include risk management, financial engineering and the valuation of complex financial products. He has worked at a number of U.S. universities, including the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Southern California and Washington University in St. Louis, and he frequently lectures in Israel and abroad.
Wiener has served as a consultant to many prominent clients in Israel, including government institutions, banks, insurance companies and multi-national corporations. He is a director of the Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) in Israel and has served as a co-chair of the worldwide Education and Standards Committee of PRMIA.
Wiener earned his doctorate in mathematics at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He won the Rothschild Prize and the Alon Fellowship and received both financial risk management and professional risk management certifications.
