Prof. Yafeh was a research advisor to fellow Stas Sokolinski.
Dean ,School of Business Administration at the Hebrew University. He has served as an advisor to the Bank of Israel and the Israel Securities Authority. Yafeh has also taught at the University of Oxford, University of Montreal and Hebrew University. An associate editor at a number of scientific journals, Yafeh is also a research fellow for the London-based Centre for Economic Policy Research and the Brussels-based European Corporate Governance Institute.
Yafeh received a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 1993. His research interests are financial systems and financial intermediation, the economies of East Asia, and economic and financial history. His research has been published in the Journal of Finance, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Economic Literature and the Journal of Business, among others. He co-authored “Emerging Markets and Financial Globalization” (Oxford University Press, 2006) with Paolo Mauro and Nathan Sussman.
