Agriculture is an economic sector with unique characteristics because it is influenced by external factors such as weather, demand for food products, and the fact that each country strives to fulfill its production capacity and control the ongoing supply of quality and fresh products. More, Israel is one of just a few countries in the world in which national security, and not necessarily professional and economic considerations, dictates the location and characterization of agricultural settlement.
