The Milken Innovation Center and Blum Lab for Developing Economies is pleased to announce the application process for its 2022 Development Finance Practice Fellowship program. The program enrolls fellows around the world to work with in-country partners in Israel and abroad (Governments, business, Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs), local authorities, and development finance organizations) to solve various development challenges across agriculture/food, water, energy, education, housing, finance, and health by blending development finance with technological solutions.
The program builds project teams comprising fellows, experts- in -residence, and placement organization personnel to design and implement priority development projects in developing economies with the aim of bridging social, economic, technological, and productivity gaps. (e.g., prevention, diagnostics, treatment for global health; job creation and sustainable income and wealth formation); differentiate business, market, and technological opportunities for addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Fellows are given the opportunity to develop their project implementation plans leveraging the knowledge and technologies of their placement organizations for its design and implementation.
The fellows undergo an academic course taught at the Hebrew University Jerusalem School of Business Administration, weekly training seminars, and individual work with a supervisor within their placement organization in Israel. The fellowship placements are on a full-time basis within private sector organizations in Israel.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must have a Master’s Degree
- Citizens of the following continents: Africa, Asia, South America, and Oceania
- Ability to travel to Israel and work full time for 6 months
- Must be a graduate of the Financial Innovation for Economic Development Course
- Applicants must be no more than 35 years old at the time of the application
- Applicants must be able to write and speak English Language fluently (additional languages are an advantage)
