Impact of Israel’s Market Reclassification

In the last decade, the Israeli capital market has caught up to those in the world’s more developed economies.  In 2009, Israel joined the MSCI, a market classification used only for developed economies.

This research analyzes the impact of this reclassification, and in particular points out a few of the ways in which it might have a negative effect on the Israeli economy at large.
